Always Protected

Black bear climbs a tree.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” -Joshua 1:9

I'm reminded of this verse when I see this young bear arching his back and trying to look tough.

Up in the tree, there’s a different kind of confidence. There's a sense of safety. There's protection.

Down on the ground, it might look a little different.

That’s what makes this moment stand out.

Our source of protection isn’t something we have to climb to reach. It goes with us wherever we go.

Wherever we are, whatever we’re facing, we’re not standing alone.

The Songs of Zion
181. HE’S MY ROCK
Tho storms of life may come and go and trials take a toll,
But still the love of Jesus is a constant in my soul,
No matter where my pathway leads He’s never far away,
For all the love He’s given me, I’ll thank Him every day.
For He’s my rock, my confidence, my friend,
For He’s my rock, my confidence, my friend.
